How do the pigs justify the fact that they are now sleeping in beds?

If you're talking about Animal Farm,
The pigs tampered with the rules slightly to say that it was against the rules to sleep in a bed <em>with sheets</em>, and that what they were doing was okay as it wasn't the beds that they were against but rather the sheets.

At the beginning of the story "Po-No-Kah", the author stated the conditions that were obtainable with the pioneers of America. He narrated the uncertainties and dangers that were attached to life in the forests. Families could be attacked by the Indians when the head of the home was away and wipe them all off. He further went n to describe every member of the Hedden Family.

In the end, his tone was lively and celebratory as he narrated how the family was united after their separation from the Indians.

I think the purpose of this text is to show that the street children still want what everyone else has and takes for granted and if given the chance this one child would rather help others achieve this instead of leaving them behind. It helps the reader see that homeless people still have the basic need to have love, affection,food,shelter and access to medical care and should not be overlooked or ignored.
