75% I think.

because if you do 560 - 420 you get 140.

140 / 560 x 100 = 25

which means there is a 25% decrease, so they took 75%.

Answer:

36.695 approx 36.7

Step-by-step explanation:

find the area of the top triangle and then add it to the area of the bottom rectangle

Area of the triangle: (bh)/2

3.5*4.1=14.35

14.35/2=7.175

Area of the rectangle: bh

4.1*7.2=29.52

Total (add the two values)

29.52+7.175

=36.695

Write an absolute value equation that has the solution x=-10 and x=-5
RideAnS [48]
The last step of an equation whose solutions are x=-10 and x=-5 is:

(x+10)(x+5)=0

We need to add some previous steps, which make the equation an absolute value equation.

A way to do this, is writing |(x+10)(x+5)|=0,

the only solutions are still x=-10 and x=-5

Answer: |(x+10)(x+5)|=0

Paula caught a tarpon with a weight that was 11 times as great as the weight of a permit fish she caught. The total weight of th
Yuki888 [10]
Okay so let’s say the permit fish is the variable p.
The tarpon is 11p.

So, to set up the equation,
(11p)+p=168
Start by combining like terms on the left
12p=168
Divide both sides by 12 to isolate p
p=14
So therefore, the permit fish was 14 pounds.

To find the weight of the tarpon, insert the 14 back into (11p) 11(14)=154.

You can check by adding these together 14+154=168

So:
The permit fish weighed 14 pounds.

The tarpon weighed 154 pounds.

Hope this helps!
