Can you tell me anything about what the water was like in the 1700-1900's?
Valentin [98]
I could only say "pure", think about it.......the water we are drinking from our faucets now has been ran through a treatment plant. In plain words you and I are drinking RECYCLED water! In the olden days, you either got your water directly from a spring, creek or well you knew was pure or a swamp of sorts and would purify the water via distillation Our water now days has ALL KINDS of pollution including recycled SEWAGE!!!!!!!!.

Why were king ferdinand and queen isabella of spain willing to finance columbus?
kramer
Because they wanted him to toddle off to Florida to see if Disneyworld was all it was cracked up to be, dear Huy. Far better to send him off with a camcorder and a few dollars in his pocket. One personally feels that Disneyland is far superior but by the time the wastrel had returned they had already built Eurodisney in Paris.

Which piece of art is most similar to marcel Duchamp ready-made pieces ?
Katen [24]

Duchamp, a Dada movement pioneer, created surrealist sculptures out of ordinary objects in order to make an anti-art statement. He made a ready made based on Mona Lisa. There is no one piece of art that is similar to his work, but you could say that a lot of contemporary art draws inspiration from his sculptures. The essence of his work was to take an ordinary object and present it as something new.
