The United Nations charter was drafted during "a conference held by the Allies during World War II".

Answer: Option A

Explanation:

The word "United Nations" was established by Senator Franklin D. Roosevelt, the phrase was first used in the United Nations Convention of 1 January 1942, following World War II. Leaders of 26 nations at war with the allied powers gathered in Washington to sign the General assembly Declaration supporting the Atlantic Charter.

This was done to prevent any further such immense war or conflicts between nations. The Charter of the United Nations sets out three primary purposes:

 • To preserve peace and safety worldwide.
 • Connections grow among nations.
 • To encourage coordination among countries to address global economic, social, cultural or humanitarian problems.

"For each region and time period shown, write two or three sentences to describe how it was affected by trade and commerce. - We
Lemur [1.5K]

1. West Africa before the Portuguese was a thriving region. There were several kingdoms that were very wealthy, and the main reason for that was that they had lot of natural resources and the trade. These kingdoms were conducting the majority of the trade between Northern Africa and sub-Saharan Africa, so they were able to gain lot of wealth from the countless goods that were traded through their territories.

2. Europe after the Crusades experienced a real ''boom'' in the trade, thus in its economy as well. Through the Crusades, the Europeans were introduced to lot of goods from the Middle East and the rest of Asia. Lot of those goods were very useful or attractive, so the Europeans gradually started to engage in trade with Asia more and more, with the pinnacle of this trade being during the existence of the Mongol Empire.

3. America before Columbus was much more limited when it came to trade and commerce. Unlike the Old World, the civilizations in the New World were engaging into trade only with the civilizations that surrounded them, thus it was more locally or regionally. The majority of the people were still mostly producing goods just about enough to sustain themselves, so they were not engaging into a large scale trade with places further away.

telo118 [61]

The correct answer is keep elites in power, endanger liberty especially for individuals, and weaken the states.

The Anti-federalists were a group of individuals who feared a too strong central government in America. Their fears about this type of tyrannical government were rooted in their experience as colonists under the control of the British government. This is why the Anti-federalists were in favor of a Bill of Rights. This Bill of Rights would explicitly state what rights citizens possessed in order to prevent the federal government from taking these rights away.
