Why does a hurricane lessen in intensity when it hits land?

Because the main source of a hurricane is water. So, when it hits land there's no water nor air pressure

Because then the hurricane wouldn't be able to use up fuel, water, anymore, and since water is pretty malleable and basically able to move through easy. Land, on the other hand, is hard and stiff, and difficult to move through. Basically, the difficult density affects the hurricane's movement.

Can someone please explain why there are bands of winds, some moving east and some moving west? (40 POINTS WILL MARK BRAINLIEST
Fofino [41]
Weather is a complex phenomena. in order to solve engineering problems such as the prediction of weather, we utilize degrees of freedom (DoF)... weather is one of the many elements that need millions of DoF and still cannot accurately predict it. mainly it's a vector analysis much akin to finite element analysis where each micro degree of freedom or say molecule of air is represented as one point interconnected in a web of points and each point's properties are altered relatively (similar principles how autonomous mini drones coordinate synchoronously) to each other.

many factors are considered: pressure, temperature and density of the air for sure. friction factors. drag factors. rotation of the earth. and that's the natural phenomena. include the heat given off the land, the radiation from the sun, airplanes, people, etc... its highly complicated. having done a weather station project, it's fair to say that there isn't a simple answer to your simple question. we measured wind direction, wind current, temp and humidity, visibility, pressure, etc... and we couls measure these things, but can't really say why say the wind went east or west... except tell you that its because of millions of degrees of freedom interacting with each other simultaneously and some things like weather are just like that.

describe which countries have the fastest population growth and which have the slowest and why? To describe and explain the caus
Charra [1.4K]

South Sudan has the fastest population growth whereas Bulgaria has the least population growth. The causes and effects of the global warming are described below.

What is Global warming ?

Global warming refers to the increase in the temperature of the earth due to the production of the toxic gases such as carbon dioxide and other pollutants.

South Sudan has the fastest population growth whereas Bulgaria has the least population growth. The population increased due to the increase in the number of refugee.

Bulgaria has the least population growth because of the low birth rate.

Global warming is a result of greenhouse gas emissions. The rise in global temperatures is just one of the numerous consequences of global warming.

The 3 types of rainfall are Relief Rainfall,Convectional Rainfall and Frontal Rainfall.

Overpopulation, religious persecution, lack of job opportunities, agricultural decline and conflict have been push factors for -
andreev551 [17]

This question is asking about what is termed Push v. Pull. In the case of Push v. Pull, Push factors are typically (negative) events that force people away from their homelands into a different country, while pull factors (positive) are events that draw people to seek a better life in that country.

In this case, Migration is your best answer.

Overpopulation: With overpopulation, usually comes a lower standard of living, as the amount of funds provided by the state per citizen becomes drastically reduced per capita. This leads to those who are more fortunate to be "pushed" away from their homelands to a host country, in which standards are much higher and opportunities vary more greatly.

Lack of Job Opportunities: This essentially follows Overpopulation very closely. More people essentially means more people fighting for the same jobs, especially lower level jobs.

Religious Persecution: Religious Persecution is a big push factor, especially in areas of the middle east and the near east, in which religious persecution is rampant. People would typically try to move to a country that is more-dominant with their own beliefs, or a country that is more open to accepting their beliefs.

Agricultural Decline: Agriculture Decline typically means less food, which in turn means famine. Famine typically pushes many people away from the country in search of food elsewhere (neighboring countries), but recent efforts such as the World Food Bank and World Health Organization has been installed to counter such problems.

Conflict: Conflict is the single largest reason for people to migrate. Nobody wants to live in a warzone, and having an unstable environment impedes economic, social, and personal growth in every level. A steady and peaceful country that does not wage war (at least in it's own territory, as is the stand-alone United States of America), would always do better than a country rife with civil wars and foreign influences, which destroys economic growth, infrastructures, population, and the country as a whole.
