Answer:

D. I hate gossip it destroys people's lives.

Explanation:

Fused Sentence- When two independent clauses are run together without a proper punctuation or conjunction between them. The sentences are run on with two main clauses clubbed together without punctuation. Each clause is complete on its own but are joined together with an error in between. The error can be removed by adding a comma or semicolon or other conjunctions depending upon the sentence structure.

Main clause + error + Main clause

Example:

I hate gossip it destroys people's lives

The sentence is an example of fused sentence as two two independent clauses run together without a proper punctuation.

I hate gossip + it destroys people's lives

Correct- I hate gossip, it destroys people's lives.

In order to vary the sentence structure, the sentence I would insert in the blank is C. Have you noticed how hard she works? The reason for this is because inserting an interrogative sentence that has a completely different structure and word order than the other two sentences works great in order to introduce some versatility into a paragraph consisting of a couple of sentences. Here, the only sentence that differs is C. which is why you should choose it. Starting three sentences in a row with the same word can be a bit dull and repetitive.

How and why do ethical dilemmas challenge and develop our identity?
Zarrin [17]

Answer:

Ethical dilemmas challenge and develop our identity by showing what lengths we as humans are willing to go through to do the right thing, it shows how loyal and persistent we are. It shows each person's personality and grit as they choose different responses.

Ethical dilemmas are something that requires a lot of thinking, high risks, and is something where you can easily do the wrong thing but you choose not to, those are the times you see the true person. To find someone's identity and watch as their identity grows you have to put them in situations where their identity does grow, if it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you.

There's a quote by Stephen Fry that says, "You are who you are when nobody's watching.”

That is when your true identity comes out, when you choose the right or wrong thing and nobody will ever know about it.
