Answer:

Given the inequality: y\geq 3x-3

The related equation for the given equation is:

y = 3x -3                ......[1]

x -intercepts: The point where the line crosses the x-axis

Substitute the value of y= 0 in [1] to solve for x;

0 = 3x -3

Add both sides 3 we get;

0 + 3 = 3x -3 +3

Simplify:

3 = 3x

Divide both sides by 3 we get;

\frac{3}{3} = \frac{3x}{3}

Simplify:

1 = x

or x = 1

x-intercept is (1 , 0)

y-intercepts: The point where the line crosses the y-axis

Substitute the value of x= 0 in [1] to solve for y;

y =3(0) -3 = 0-3

Simplify:

y = -3

y-intercept = (0 , -3)

When your inequality symbol:

  • Greater than (>)  or Greater than or equal to (\geq), then the solution region is above the boundary line.
  • Less than (<) or Less than or equal to(\leq), then your solution region is below the boundary line.

Also,  when the symbol is:

"> , < ,  then we draw a dashed line,

"\leq , \geq",  then we draw a solid line.

Since, the given inequality i.e  y\geq 3x-3  symbol is "\geq" , draw a solid line and shade above the line:

As you can see the given inequality graph below in the attachment

Prove that the sum of 3 consecutive numbers is always a multiple of 3
Bad White [126]

Proof:

3 consecutive integers are x, x+1 , x+2.

Add these values.

x+x+1+x+2

3x+3

3×(x+1)

3(x+1) is the multiple of 3 for any integer value of x.

Two chords intersect at a point inside a circle that is not the center of the circle. Which statement must be true?
Illusion [34]

Answer:

The sum of the measures of each pair of vertical angles is equal

to the sum of the measures of the intercepted arcs

Step-by-step explanation:

* Lets study this rule :Angles of Intersecting Chords Theorem.

- If two chords intersect inside a circle, then the measure of the

 angle formed is one half the sum of the measure of the arcs

 intercepted by the angle and its vertical angle.

Ex: Look to the attached figure:

- QS and PR are 2 chords intersect each other inside the circle

- ∠1 subtended by arc PQ , ∠3 subtended by the arc RS

- ∠2 subtended by arc RQ , ∠4 subtended by the arc PS

∴ m∠1 = [measure of arc PQ + measure of arc RS]/2

∴ m∠2 = [measure of arc QR + measure of arc PS]/2

∴ 2m∠1 = measure of arc PQ + measure of arc RS

∴ 2m∠2 = measure of arc QR + measure of arc PS

∵ m∠1 = m∠3 ⇒ vertically opposite angles

∵ m∠2 = m∠4 ⇒ vertically opposite angles

∴ m∠1 + m∠3 = 2m∠1

∴ m∠2 + m∠4 = 2m∠2

∴ m∠1 + m∠3 = measure of arc PQ + measure of arc RS

∴ m∠2 + m∠4 = measure of arc QR + measure of arc PS

* From all above

- The sum of the measures of each pair of vertical angles is equal

 to the sum of the measures of the intercepted arcs

How would I find the surface area of the cone in terms of pi? It has a radius of 7 cm and a slant height of 19 cm.
julsineya [31]
The formula is SA = \pi r^{2} + \pi rl.  r is the radius and l is the slant height.  In your case it would be 49\pi + 133\pi = 172\pi.
