First, you find what he will be making in the 25th year:

a_{n} =  a_{1} +(n-1)d
a_{25}= 53000+(25-1)1600
               = 53000+(24)1600
               =53000+38400=91400

So in year 25 he was making $91400
To find the sum of all of that the formula is S_{n} = \frac{n}{2}( a_{1}  + a_{n)}
In this case we are trying to find S_{25} and n=25, a_{1} =53000 and a_{25} = 91400 so we just plug it in
S_{25}= \frac{25}{2}(53000+91400)= \frac{25}{2} (144400)  =1805000

Hope that helps

Write the solution in interval notation {x| 3 less than or equal to x}
klemol [59]

Answer:

Set in Interval Notation is:  [ 3, ∞)

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, the given expression is:

R  =  {x| 3 less than or equal to x}

Here, the given set is given in the ROSTER FORM of set.

Now, converting the statement in mathematical form, we get:

R  = { x : 3 ≤ x}

So, here: R is the SET OF AL ELEMENTS SUCH THAT each element is either EQUAL TO 3, or GREATER THAN 3.

Writing the st in SET BUILDER FORM, we get:

R = { 3, 4, 5, 6, ....... }

So, R in Interval Notation is:  [ 3, ∞)
