Answer: AH = 24 unit

Step-by-step explanation:

Since, in triangles ABC and BHC,

m\angle ABC\cong m\angle BHC     ( Right angles)

m\angle BCA\cong m\angle HCB     ( Reflexive )

Hence, By AA similarity postulate,

\triangle ABC\sim\triangle BHC

By the property of similar triangle,

\frac{AC}{BC} = \frac{BC}{HC}

AC = BC\times \frac{BC}{HC}

AC = \frac{BC^2}{HC}

Here,  BC = 9 unit  and HC = 3 unit,

AC = \frac{9^2}{3}=\frac{81}{3}=27

Since, by the below diagram,

AH = AC - HC

AH = 27 - 3

AH = 24 unit

What is the y value in the solution to this system of linear equations?
Travka [436]

Answer:

The y-value is -20

Step-by-step explanation:

So let's solve this by Elimination method;

-2(4x + 5y = -12)

4(2x + 3y = -16)

Let's Distribute;

-8x - 10y = 24

8x + 12y = -64

So x cancels out because -8 + 8 = 0

-10y + 12y = 2y

24 - 64 = -40

2y = -40

Divide both sides by 2;

y = -20

Now lets plug in y to find the value of x;

4x + 5(-20) = -12

4x - 100 = -12

Add 100 to both sides;

4x = 88

Divide both sides by 4;

x = 22

\large\text{Part b:}\\\\\boxed{r=\dfrac{7}{3}w-5}

Step-by-step explanation:

\text{Part a}\\\\-vp+400,\ \text{then}\ \boxed{v>-\dfrac{25}{d}}\\\\\text{if}\ d

\text{Part b}\\\\7w-3r=15\qquad\text{subtract 7w from both sides}\\\\-3r=-7w+15\qquad\text{divide both sides by (-3)}\\\\\boxed{r=\dfrac{7}{3}w-5}

jek_recluse [69]

Answer:

0

Step-by-step explanation:

The + on the zero means the limit as x approaches 0 from the right side

\lim_{x \to 0^{+} } (\frac{1}{x} - \frac{1}{|x|})\\ \lim_{x \to 0^{+} } (\frac{1}{x} - \frac{1}{x})\\ \lim_{x \to 0^{+} } (0)\\0
