Answer

Kofi is 35

His daughter is 5

Explanation

(If it's right, please make this a brainlest answer)

Kofi is 7 times his daughter (and 35 is 7 times 5)

In 5 years, Kofi will be 40, and his daughter will be 10 (and 40 is 4 times 10)

So Kofi is 35, then 40

And his daughter is 5, then 10

Let k be Kofi's age, and d be his daughter's age.

As of today, Kofi is 7 times as old as his daughter, which translates to

k=7d

In 5 years time he will be 4 times as old as his daughter, which translates to

k+5=4(d+5)

In fact, in 5 years their age will be the current one plus 5, and we know that Kofi will be 4 times as old as his daughter.

Rewrite the second equation as

k+5=4(d+5) \iff k+5 = 4d+20 \iff k = 4d+15

Now we have the system

\begin{cases}k=7d\\k = 4d+15\end{cases}

Use the first equation to write the second as

7d = 4d+15 \iff 3d=15 \iff d=5

And we can deduce

k=7d=7\cdot 5=35

So, Kofi is 35, and his daugter is 5.

If There Where 240 heads and 210 tails.What Is the experimental probability that the coin lands on heads?
Helga [31]
To find probability you have to add the samples that are included. In this situation, you add 240+210. Then you get 450. Then you divide heads by 450 to get the probability.

The probability is 240/450, which is 53%

In fractions it is 53 1/3.

A two digit number is such that the sum of the ones and the tens digit is ten. If the digits
Tema [17]

Answer:

The original number is 28

Step-by-step explanation:

start by listing all possible combinations of digits that give 10 when added:

19 (1+9=10)

28 (2+8 =10)

37 (3+7=10)

46 (4+6=10)

55 (5+5=10)

Look into the order of digits reversed and what the difference with the original number gives:

1) 19 reversed is 91 then when we subtract 91 - 19 we obtain 72

2) 28 reversed is 82 hen when we subtract 82 - 28 we obtain 54 which is the combination we where trying to find.

Notice as well, that as we go down the list, the differences between reversed digit number and original become smaller (and ends being zero for the number 55), so they do not satisfy the requirement.

Therefore 28 is the answer, since 82 (the new number formed when the digits are reversed) exceeds the original number by 54.
