There are thousands of gods, goddesses, and deities. All of them have their own stories. There isn't any actual proof or God outside of the bible, but in the bible it does acknowledge that there are other gods out there. If you choose to believe any of them are real, you just have to have faith.
Catherine Beecher and her followers were concerned that working at home and raising a family were essential. She believed that teaching was the profession women were cut out for – it let them be independent and furthermore, it was a part of a female nature - to nurture and take care of others.
