What is Swift’s purpose in listing other ways to solve the issue of poverty?

I think i answered a question similar to this recently, so i'm pretty sure i know what excerpt this question refers to. swift lists these other ways in this sort of "backwards" manner--it's an old trick where you say "oh don't even get me started on [THIS THING THAT I WANT TO COMPLAIN ABOUT]" when no one mentioned it. by you bringing it up and saying, "i don't want to talk about it" you've effectively brought the matter into question. swift is using the same tactic here, in a sense.

he says "therefore let no man talk to me about..." then goes on to list all the actual, feasible ways that his country could solve the problem. he suggests a bunch of different ideas for reform, but also maintains that his work is a satire by stating that he doesn't want to hear about it. the list is used to show that a) swift is reasonable, and understands the true ways that the country could solve the problem, but also b) he's going to take it to the extreme. people at the time weren't even willing to pay TAXES to help their country, so swift takes it several steps further and says, "well, how about just... eating the children?" he offers reasonable suggestions (all of which contain some measure of sacrifice from the people), then suggests arguably the biggest sacrifice of all: future generations, human life, and their own children.

Evaluate the culture presented in the story "Games at Twilight". What details do you notice that show this story is not taking p
Makovka662 [10]

The main reason for us to realize that "Games at Twilight" is not happening in the USA is the clothes that Ravi's mother wears. This is because the narrative informs that, after bathing, she wears a clean and fresh Sari.

Sari is a traditional outfit worn by women in India, with that, we can confirm that "Games at Twilight" is set in India. This is also confirmed by the names of Ravi's brothers, which are not common names in the US, but are not abnormal in India.

The impactful experience of Ravi's life was a moment when he was forgotten by his brothers, in a joke. This made him extremely sad because he felt rejected and devalued. This experience is not unique to Indian culture and can be felt and lived by any citizen of any culture.

By highlighting absence in these lines from a poem, which technique is used to add emotional intensity?
Nat2105 [25]
I am pretty sure that device which is used to add emotional intensity in the excerpt is repetition. As for me, such appeal to captain is used to persuade the reader to pay attention and create thrilling tone. I hope you find it helpful.

Answer:

This is an independent clause. This is because it has a verb “buy” and has a noun “he”. This sentence could be by itself.
