Answer:

A,B and C are important factors used as criticism for the Turkish accession to the EU. However only option D)The fact that Turkey is a predominantly muslim nation. Has not been used as a reason to criticize the accession of Turkey to the EU.

Explanation:

First of all, only a small portion of turkey is inside Europe's geographical territory, while the vast majority of its territory forms part of Asia and the Middle East. That has been a major factor proposed by many European countries.

Second, B) Turkey has no secured the rights of freedom of expression. The political party in power has been very harsh and aggressive to the opposition, majorly against journalists, critics, and media. One of these examples is the most recent coup d'etat in which reporters and journalists were targeted.

Third, C) has not formally recognized the Armenian genocide. It has not and many countries like Denmark and Germany have faced them with proofs, but they never bring solid fundamentals to their statement.

The fourth d) is a predominantly Muslim Nation. Which is false because even though there is a presence of racism in almost all European countries, it has been executed by a small part of the population, and not the government. French, German, Swedish and many other countries' governments have shown support to the Muslim population.

What was the political situation when president Obama declared his intention to increase his use of executive
Zina [86]

Answer:

After being held up in the courts for more than a year, President Barack Obama’s signature immigration executive actions that proposed expanding his deferred action policies to allow individuals residing in the country illegally the opportunity to avoid deportation and obtain work permits and driver’s licenses were blocked from being implemented in a 4-4 ruling delivered by the United States Supreme Court on June 23, 2016.[1]

Without a ninth justice, due to the vacancy left on the court by former Justice Antonin Scalia's unexpected death, the Supreme Court was unable to rule on the case. The 4-4 split decision upheld the lower court's ruling, which blocked the new and expanded immigration policies from going into effect. President Obama blamed the court's inability to issue a ruling on Republican senators who have declined to hold a confirmation hearing on his Supreme Court nominee Judge Merrick Garland.[2]
