Hi Haley,

Simplify (8z - 10) ÷ (-2) + 5(z - 1)

---------------------------------------------

(8z - 10) ÷ (-2) + 5(z - 1)

= −4z + 5 + (5)(z) + (5)(−1) (Distribute)

= −4z + 5 + 5z + −5

= −4z + 5 + 5z + −5 (Combine Like Terms)

= (−4z + 5z) + (5 + −5)

= z

Answer: z

---------------------------------------------

Hope This helps :)

Write the equation in slope intercept form with a slope of 3/4 and passes through (-4,-5)
attashe74 [19]

Answer:Use the slope −2 and the point (−4,−5) to find the y-intercept.

y=mx+b

⇒−5=(−2×−4)+b

⇒−5=8+b

⇒b=−13

Write the equation in slope intercept form as:

y=mx+b

⇒y=(−2)x−13

Hence, the equation of the line is y=−2x−13.

If a box of 100 pencils cost $4.75, what should you expect to pay for 225 pencils?
skad [1K]

Answer:

$ 10.69

Step-by-step explanation:

225 is 2.25 times the 100 pencils. ( 225/100) So all you have to do is multiply 2.25 the price ($4.75) and you get 10.6875, money can only go to the tenth place so you round it to $10.69
