The correct answer is - Exports grew significantly in the 1820's.

This graph shows us the exports of opium by the British toward China. Starting from the year of 1729 the exports of opium in China constantly grew, though relatively slowly. In 1790 there's significant rise in the exports, but that it kind of stagnates and the growth is minimal in next three decades.

From the begging of the 1820's to the end of the 1820's the exports of opium start to grow very quickly. The rise in exports was so quick that in just this decade the exports of opium went up by around three times (tripled).

That trend of rapid growth in the opium exports continued in the next decade, the 1830's, as well.

Why did members of the 3rd estate dislike the king and queen?
Lemur [1.5K]
Members of the 3rd Estate in France had all sorts of reasons to dislike the king and queen -- King Louis XVI and Queen Marie Antoinette -- in the days leading up to the French Revolution. Let me count the ways (well, a few of them):
1. Louis XVI was not a kingly figure. He preferred to be out in the woods hunting or at a workbench taking apart a clock than doing the tasks of royal government. He wasn't the sort of person to inspire the confidence of the people in him.
2. Marie Antoinette was an Austrian princess, and the French people despised the Austrians. France and Austria had been enemies for years, and this attempt to bring the two countries together through a marriage wasn't popular with the people.
3. Louis and Marie had sex problems. You'd think that would be a private matter, but when you're the king and queen it's your job to produce an heir to the throne, and they weren't managing to do that.
4. Both Louis and Marie spent way too much money -- money that came from the taxpayers (the members of the 3rd Estate). Louis spent it on the lavish palace life of Versailles and on wars. (His government had given a huge loan to the Americans to help them fight vs. Britain.) Marie spent money on frills and dresses and jewelry and whatnot.
5. They didn't seem to know the people's situation or care about them much. They didn't want to be bothered with concerns about the poor people of France.

I could keep counting more ways, but that's enough for now!

How did the industrial revolution lead to social and economic changes in Europe?
My name is Ann [436]

It is impossible to provide an all-encompassing answer to this question due to the magnitude of the subject. The industrial Revolution is considered by most historians as the most important event in human history since the passage from nomadic societies to sedentary ones with the adoption of sedentary agriculture.

Indeed, the economic changes were completely unprecedented in the course of human history. Thanks to technology, the growth of production output as well as the increase of demand and offer dwarfed any other previous economic boom in the history of humanity. The steam machines, the iron production, the machine created textiles, the machine tools that replace human handy work spurred economic growth beyond the wildest dreams of capitalists. The economy transformed from a predominantly agrarian model to a predominantly industrial one. The growth of population was so exponential that the textile industry was the main industry during the industrial revolution. This population growth stirred many other industrial sectors such as chemical production, cement production, gas lighting, glass making, industrial paper production, mining, agriculture.

Transportation was exponentially developed since a vast network of railroads, roads, maritime routes, canals and other forms of transportation were developed in order to be able to allow raw materials and manufactured goods and supplies to move quickly to the areas where they were required for production or commerce.

The social changes were not as positive. The factory system enslaved men, women and children and made them victims of inhumane working conditions, starvation wages and all kinds of abuses. Sweatshops were the norm. Sanitation conditions were disastrous since the huge influx of workers from the countryside to the cities made it very hard to quickly build appropriate water sewage and distribution infrastructures, causing many diseases and a great deal of pollution. These workers lived in overcrowded tenements with no privacy, sanitation or even heating. Although food production increased, population increased so fast and speculation was so rampant that food prices actually increased.

Social positive effect included a better water supply that was now steam-powered. An increase in literacy since the invention of paper machines allowed for printing of many more books at lower prices.

The highest ranking military officers of the army, navy, and air force from the
patriot [66]
The highest rank in the military is a general.
But there are five general ranks:

1. Brigadier general
2. Major general
3. Lieutenant general
4. General of generals? Or more know as the chief of staff (In U.S military)
5. Is the General of the army which is reserved only for wartime
-Fleet Admiral for Navy
-General of the Airforce
-4 star general for Marines
But the Chief of Staff is the highest among them

So in peacetime, the highest rank is the Chief of Staff which is in control of the entire military and is in the Presidents inner circle (In U.S military)

The reason why I used the U.S is because they have the strongest, most trained, experienced, well equipped military in the world so this makes the Chief of Staff the most powerful military commander in the world.
