Which word in the sentence is a possessive pronoun? The pasta with the grilled chicken on it is hers.
jenyasd209 [6]
First you must know what a pronoun is.. here are some examples:

I, me, he, she, herself, you, it, that, they, each, few, many, who, whoever, whose, someone, everyone, etc.

In this sentence you see only one pronoun, at the end of the sentence, "hers."
You may already know this, but possessive means "in possession of" and the word "hers" in this sentence means that she is in possession of the pasta with the grilled chicken on it.

I hope I helped! (:

What is the effect of Thoreau’s syntactical choices in this passage? (Be sure to answer the implied component of this question—w
vova2212 [387]

Thoreau uses several subordinate sentences, preventing the reader from stopping reading and having to finish a paragraph to have a complete understanding.

We can arrive at this answer because:

  • Subordinate sentences are sentences that do not have full meaning.
  • These sentences need a complement to get a message across to the reader.
  • In this case, these sentences reinforce the need to complete the reading, as the paragraph has to be read completely to be understood.

This is directly connected with Thoreau's intention in the text because by using subordinate sentences, he reinforces the idea that the reader has to finish the paragraph to understand the relationship he is establishing between ants and human beings.

Write two or three sentences explaining how the narrator feels about the old man and why he decides to murder him in the story “
Lynna [10]

Answer:

In "The Tell-Tale Heart," the narrator claims to have killed the old man because he hated the appearance of the man's eye. However, his murderous actions are actually a reflection of his madness. The reasoning behind the narrator's crime undermines his argument that he is sane and proves his mental instability.

Hope this helps ;)
