What economic problems led Georgia farmers to support the Populists?

there was a sharp decline in the income at a time when their living and operating farming costs were rising.

At that time, the populist party promise to eliminate foreign land ownership and give the ownership to the farmers. If this happen, the farmers would obtain the full profit from every harvests that they get from the farm. This will massively increase their income.

Because of this aligning interest, large number of farmers supported the populist party in Georgia.
