The New Deal was a series of programs comissioned by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, between 1933 and 1938. This aimed to promote economic recovery led from the Great Depression of 1929, mostly to help the poorest people of the U.S. territory, giving work to Americans through federal job programs for the un employed and education for the one who need it.
Among the most poorest states of the U.S. was New Mexico. These programs were especially needed there, the different programs attempted to give immediate relief to those who were in need of help but in the long run attempted to revitalize the economy and cultural production of the state.
New Deal sponsored and created the <em>National Youth Administration (NYA</em>). This agency aimed to provide work and education for youth Americans between 16 and 25 years old. This helped youth Americans in New Mexico with education and relief to a great vital sector of the population.
