-Although both texts share much similarities with a reoccurring reminder of isolation, their topics differentiate in point of view. In the first text, the narrator symbolizes in a third-person view as a cloud "That floats on high o'er vales and hills." (Wordsworth) However, in "The Friends That Don't Talk to Me", the speaker is him/herself as "[he/her]<span> walked alone all the way around the lake near my house." (?)

</span>-The two texts share a common theme as they both start neutral in loneliness and end up cheek in tongue with a happy ending. Despite this, both have slight contrasts in theme: The first text observes "others" with much symbolism in poetry, sending a somewhat clear message of how loneliness can open the eyes in the beauty of the world. The second theme is more straight forward as it seems to state loneliness is only temporary.
The excerpt from Lord Byron's Childe Harold's pilgrimage that most clearly describes a state of alienation is the third one:
C. But soon he knew himself the most unfit / of men to herd with man.
He says here that he isn't the type to be around other people, which is why he prefers to be around himself only. Although that doesn't mean he doesn't like or want to be around other people, it is just that he doesn't know how to and is thus alienated.

\</span><span>Art is used in mass media to influence people, especially people in the generation and culture we live in today. The majority of art young people receive in our culture is through television and in particularly popular culture networks, like MTV. The television show on MTV called The Hills is an example of a show that promotes dominant ideology to young children/ teenagers. Slightly opposite of that would be another show on MTV called Jersey Shore, which is an example of a show that partly reinforces and partly challenges dominant ideology to the same type of audience. The two shows are looking at people who are in their 20s and there life as they live it in their current situation, they both claim to be reality television with no scripts. The Hills follows the life of one main girl and her friends, partners, and career however, all the actors in the show come from wealthy parents, and live a wealthy life style. </span>

Juliet says this line when she realises that Romeo is a Montague. As you know, the Capulets and Montagues were sworn enemies since the beginning of time and she comes to say that the one person she loved ended up being someone she was supposed to hate.
