Since ABC is equal to DCB, you can use the angles given in triangle ABC in triangle DCB. Since the sum of the angles in a triangle is 180, the equation would be this:
90+46+x=180

Solve for x in that and you're good :)

Use trig so the side with 4x-7 is also equal to 21sin(46)=15 so 4x-7=15.1. thus x=5.52 which is around 6

A Web music store offers two versions of a popular song. The size of the standard version is
sashaice [31]
Let s be standard and h be high-quality versions of the song.
To figure this out, let's make a system of equations:
2.5s + 4.5h = 5740
h = 4s
First substitute the second equation into the first for h.
2.5s + 18s =5740
Then combine like terms.
20.5s = 5740
Lastly, divide each side by 20.5 to get the number of standard downloads:
s = 280
Hope this helps!

The circular base of a cone has a radius of 5 centimeters. The height of the cone is 12 centimeters, and the slant height is 13
shepuryov [24]

Answer:

Hence, the surface area of cone is:

282.6 cm^2 which is approx 283 cm^2.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given:

  • The circular base of a cone has a radius of 5 centimeters.

           i.e. r=5 cm.

  • The height of the cone is 12 centimeters

               i.e. h=12 cm.

  • The slant height is 13 centimeters.

                    i.e. l=13 cm.

Now we know that the surface area(S.A.) of cone is given by:

S.A.=\pi r(l+r)

Hence by putting the value of l,r and π in the formula we get:

S.A.=3.14\times 5\times (13+5)\\\\S.A.=15.7\times 18\\\\S.A.=282.6

Hence the surface area of cone is 282.6 cm^2 which is approx 283 cm^2.

A researcher would like to estimate the proportion of all children that have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
aliina [53]

Answer:

The researcher should use a sample size of at least 140 children to get a margin of error to be within 2%.

Step-by-step explanation:

In a sample with a number n of people surveyed with a probability of a success of \pi, and a confidence interval 1-\alpha, we have the following confidence interval of proportions.

\pi \pm z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}}

In which

z is the zscore that has a pvalue of 1 - \frac{\alpha}{2}.

M = z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}} is the margin of error.

95% confidence interval

So \alpha = 0.05, z is the value of Z that has a pvalue of 1 - \frac{0.05}{2} = 0.975, so z = 1.96.

We have that:

M = 0.02, \pi = 0.0147

So

M = z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}}

0.02 = 1.96\sqrt{\frac{0.0147*(1-0.0147)}{n}}

0.02\sqrt{n} = 0.2359

\sqrt{n} = 11.79

n = 139.1

The researcher should use a sample size of at least 140 children to get a margin of error to be within 2%.
