What is the general trend shown in this graph

History
2 answers:
Elena L [17]4 years ago
6 0

The graph has a constant growth with the exception of the year 1683, where there was a significant decrease in livres. (From 700 to 250 approximately)

However, in the following years it continues to show a constant growth. From 1699 to 1708, it grew more that double that it had on previous periods. You may have seen an external factor on you classes that explains this fact.

The general trend is that it took more and more Livres to equal a US dollar over time from 1643 to 1715.
The value of the Livre has decreased because over time, it takes more and more Livres to equal a U.S. dollar. In 1683, it took only 220 (mmm) to equal a U.S. dollar. In 1992, a single Livre was worth $10.50 U.S. dollars so the Livre was more valuable in 1992 than in 1715.

The Arms Race and the Space Race
Svetlanka [38]

Answer:

The USSR was really in the right. They had spotted a spy plane with an American pilot inside trespassing in restricted air space and shot it down without killing the spy. Although the USSR had spies in the US, they had still caught an American spy nonetheless. The document says "After extensive questioning by the KGB, Powers was convicted of spying and sentenced to three years in prison and seven more of hard labor." This shows that the trial did take place and the spy plane really was a spy, so the Soviets did what they were supposed to do and imprisoned the man. Later on though, there was a prisoner trade that would help settle disputes
