Which of the following is textual evidence from the beginning of his tenth-day narrative that Dioneo is an unreliable narrator?
RideAnS [48]

An unreliable narrator is someone who tells a story but the credibility of that story is in doubt. This can be because the point of view of the character is lying, insane, deluded or false. Dioneo tells the stories on a road trip with the brigata during the time of the Black Death in Italy, in 1348. To get their attention from the miseries they get turns telling stories.

Question: Which of the following is textual evidence from the beginning of his tenth-day narrative that Dioneo is an unreliable narrator?   Select all that apply.

Answer:

A) He reveals his personal interest in the group's regard for his belonging to the brigata.

D) His cautionary advice against folly reveals his motives.

Read the excerpt from Act II of Hamlet.
kkurt [141]

Answer:

B, but read the full explanation carefully. If you have an idea of your own, pick it.

Explanation:

It's none of these. Later on we learn that they are talking about fortune and luck. Hamlet makes a very nasty comment about the nature of luck whom he sees as a changeable woman who takes money for her favors (his words not mine). Rosenkranz and Guildenstern are in the middle which leads Hamlet to make another off color observation.

Given that background, you could almost pick any one of the choices, since    none of them are correct. I suppose if you take Guildenstern's initial couplet you could pick prosperity, but I wouldn't be surprised if the writer of this question didn't pick it. The quotation is taken out of context.

Whatever they are talking about is neither the top or the bottom. It is therefore in the middle. But before this speech, we learn that the two students are not doing well. Hamlet is trying to joke with them.

Determine whether the definition below is connotative or denotative.
motikmotik
The answer is connotative, so choice A.

The reason why is because the denotative definition is "a place where you live, reside" which is the literal definition of "home". This is the definition you'd find in the dictionary. Whereas the definition of "warmth, comfort and affection" is an emotional connection often placed on the word "home".
