The warming of the Earth due to buildup of carbon dioxide and other gases that help trap energy is termed the greenhouse effect.
Because the exchange of incoming and outgoing radiation that warms the earth because heat trapped is close to Earth's surface by “greenhouse gases.” These heat-trapping gases can be thought of as a blanket wrapped around Earth, keeping the planet toastier than it would be without them.
Green house gases:
1) Carbon dioxide (CO2)
2) Methane (CH4)
3) Nitrous oxide (N2O)
4) Industrial gases:
a) Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs)
b) Perfluorocarbons (PFCs)
c) Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6)
d) Nitrogen trifluoride (NF3)
The concentration of greenhouse gases is increasing in large part because of the combustion of fossil fuels. Key sources of chlorofluorocarbons are solvents, refrigerants, and propellants.

In the 1800s, westward expansion brought settlers and their livestock into direct contact with native predator and prey species. Much of the wolves’ prey base was destroyed as agriculture flourished. With the prey base removed, wolves began to prey on domestic stock, which resulted in humans eliminating wolves from most of their historical range. Predator control, including poisoning, was practiced here in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Other predators such as bears, cougars, and coyotes were also killed to protect livestock and “more desirable” wildlife species, such as deer and elk.
C) National forests should be protected to make the best use of the nation's natural resources.
