Various government agencies such as state government and federal government have power over us, they can formulae new laws to control certain things that we do. We have to pay taxes, its mandatory, so it is a form of exertion of power. You cannot evade it or say that I do not want to pay taxes.

If you opt for a course which you didn't plan for, but the financial situation of your family compelled you to do so, then it is a case where circumstances have power over you.
