Given the atrocities of American slavery, how did enslaved people endure their oppression?
Y_Kistochka [10]

Answer:

In the early 19th century, most enslaved men and women worked on large agricultural plantations as house servants or field hands.

Life for enslaved men and women was brutal; they were subject to repression, harsh punishments, and strict racial policing.

Enslaved people adopted a variety of mechanisms to cope with the degrading realities of life on the plantation. They resisted slavery through everyday acts, while also occasionally plotting larger-scale revolts.

Enslaved men and women created their own unique religious culture in the US South, combining elements of Christianity and West African traditions and spiritual beliefs.

Why might the event be motivational for the country involved? Explain
elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

Answer:

Motivation or the drive to attend events can be of “generic” nature. Benefits associated with it also plays a motivational role. Leisure and travel especially having quality time with family and friends in addition to enjoy that sense of belonging give reason to attend events. Events pull people from all corners, socializing can be one of the many interest which drives oneself to attend events. The sole purpose of creating events by social and cultural group is socializing. Planned events definitely facilitate socializing, i.e. people coming together and interacting. People attend events for generic personal benefits such as entertainment and simple diversion (we can call this escapism) and ‘having fun’. ‘Generic Experiences’ are those which can occur at any event. These experiences depend more on an individual’s state of mind and particular circumstances rather than with the event theme, programme or setting. There are some ambiguous and generic reasons to attend events like entertaining, a reaction to something or ones point of view. . The event might be solemn and sacred. Sports event can attract fun loving visitors. Any enjoyable, stimulating or relaxing event draws people towards it. (Donald Getz, p. 182).

Who won the Korean War? Give your opinion by checking any boxes that you agree with.
Paladinen [302]

Answer: The United States won because it stopped the spread of communism in South Korea. The Korean Peninsula had the same borders at the end of the war as it did at the beginning.

Explanation:

  • Both statements are factual, and we can take both into account. America and its allies have stopped the advance of communist forces from the north of the Korean peninsula, which were supported by Chinese authorities, and material aid from the Soviet Union. If America and the Allies did not get involved, the Korean peninsula would look like the northern part today. Therefore, the Western powers have stopped the penetration of totalitarianism into the territory of North Korea.
  • On the other hand, the war did not bring about any significant territorial changes. In the war, the domination of both sides was changing. At the end of the war, a "38th parallel" was established, representing the border between the two warring parties (since officially no Korean recognized the end of the conflict).
