Given : There are 6 groups of 3 people waiting to go on the underground ride. Each car can take 4 people.

To find : How many cars do you need?

Solution :

There are 6 groups of 3 people waiting to go on the underground ride.

i.e. total number of people are 6\times3=18

Answer:

AB = sqrt 74 = 8.602

Step-by-step explanation:

simple:

a^2+b^2=c^2

5^2+7^2=74

ab=sqrt 74

Formula :

Distance between two points = √(xB−xA)2+(yB−yA)2(xB-xA)2+(yB-yA)2

Solution :

Distance between two points = √(8−3)2+(2−9)2(8-3)2+(2-9)2

= √52+(−7)252+(-7)2

= √25+4925+49

= √7474 = 8.6023

Distance between points (3, 9) and (8, 2) is 8.6023

A bakery uses 10 1/5 ounces of icing for every 1/4 of a cake. What is the unit rate in ounces of icing per cake
Marrrta [24]

Answer:   40\dfrac{4}{5}\text{ ounces}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The amount of icing used for every \dfrac{1}{4} of a cake = 10\dfrac{1}{5}\text{ ounces}

=\dfrac{51}{5}\text{ ounces}

To find the unit rate in ounces of icing per cake, we need to divide \dfrac{51}{5} by  \dfrac{1}{4} , we get

The unit rate in ounces of icing per cake = \dfrac{51}{5}\div\dfrac{1}{4}

\dfrac{51}{5}\times4=\dfrac{204}{5}=40\dfrac{4}{5}

Hence, the unit rate in ounces of icing per cake = 40\dfrac{4}{5}\text{ ounces}
