The answer is the Gulf Stream. The Gulf Stream moves warm water from the Gulf of Mexico to the Caribbean Sea. A warm-water surface current moves from near the equator, across the Atlantic and causes warmer climates in Great Britain and Europe. The Gulf Stream is caused by strong winds from the west. Stream is more than 30 kilometers wide and 300 meters deep.
