The correct answer is all of the above.

The Washington industries that grew during World War II were all of the above. Industries such as shipbuilding, aircraft production, and aluminum production grew so much because were used in the production of war machines, weaponry, ships, and airplanes.

For instance, President Franklin D. Roosevelt ordered the production of thousands of planes for the war. By 1944, the United States produced almost 95 planes in a year. Goods such as gasoline and rubber were rationed because were separated to use in the war effort.

Which of the following is the best reason for why the civil war did not completely end racial segregation in america?
skelet666 [1.2K]

The correct answer is C) Racial attitudes and policies had been a part of American life for a long time and were not going to change easily.

Before slavery was made illegal thanks to the 13th amendment, there was a long history of racial segregation and racial superiority in America. From the first slaves (brought over during the early 1600's) to the end of the Civil War, many Americans were taught that African-Americans were inferior. Thanks to the Supreme Court case Dred Scott vs. Sandford, enslaved Africans were even considered property at one point in American history.

This long history of painting African-Americans as inferior was not going to change overnight. Rather, many southererns kept these types of views and passed them on from generation to generation.

What was the Middle Passage?
ExtremeBDS [4]

The correct answer is C. The transatlantic journey that African slaves made to America

Explanation:

The "Middle Passage" was the name given to the forced journey Africans endure as they were captured in West Africa and brought to America in crowded ships with poor conditions that crossed the Atlantic. This was part of the Triangular trade in which slaves were taken to America, then products from America were taken to Europe and from Europe, products were traded in exchanges of slaves. It is estimated around 6 millions of Africans were part of the "Middle passage" but around a quarter died during it due to the poor traveling conditions. Therefore, the middle passage was basically the transatlantic journey that African slaves made to America.

ollegr [7]
The strategy was different as Winston Churchill and Roosevelt both wanted to take different approaches to invade and defeat Germany as it began with Churchill’s plan to attack from the south starting Greece and pushing through Italy as well but then they did Roosevelt’s plan as well and attacked from the North on Normandy
