I would call it a Motivational Novel. the reason i choose this is because It's realistic, it helps us determine what we should do and how we should go about doing it.

I would argue that the novel "In His Steps" should be considered Christian fiction.

"In His Steps" is a fictional story based in the town of Raymond. The pastor challenges his congregation to not do anything without first asking, "What would Jesus do?" The rest of the novel goes on to show how different characters' lives are changed by this challenge. Because the story, is fictional and strongly based on Christian values, it would best be described as Christian fiction.
