Answer:

hot spot

Explanation:

There are several different types of plate boundaries, and each boundary type comes with some specific physical geographic feature. The divergent plate plate boundaries have mid-ocean ridges if they are on the ocean floor, or they rifts if they are on land. The transform plate boundaries have faults. The convergent plate boundaries have trenches if they are between oceanic and continental plates, or mountain ranges if they are between two continental plates.

The hot spots though are something that is commonly associated with plate boundaries. The reason for this is that the hot spots can appear anywhere, so they can be near a plate boundary, but they can also be in the interior of an oceanic plate, or in the interior of a continental plate. The hot spots occur because of much more intense activity in the astenosphere, resulting in mantle plumes which manages to break through the crust with ease and manifest themselves on the surface.

The most common type of mechanical weathering occurs when
iren2701 [21]

Answer:

c.

Explanation:

This process is known as frost weather or frost wedging and happens on a yearly basis in many mid-latitude locations. In the subpolar and polar regions, frost wedging can be a daily occurrence.

The weather happens in two stages. First, water droplets squeeze into pore spaces of the soil or in tiny existing fractures in rocks. Because water expands when it freezes, the crystals of water become enlarged and force the rock apart slowly.

In which of the following places would you most likely experience the greatest level of political security? A. a multinational s
Fittoniya [83]
You would definitely not expect political stability in a state that is being annexed or which does not have a territory - rather the opposite would be true.

Both multinational and souvereign states can have a high lever of political security. However, in a multinational state one can also expect some conflicts between the different ethnic groups - therefore the best answer is "a sovereign state"

What is degeneracy pressure, and how is it important to white dwarfs and neutron stars? what is the difference between electron
miv72 [106K]
In a white dwarf, gravitational collapse is prevented by electron degeneracy pressure. this is a result of the pauli exclusion principle, which basically states that two electrons cannot occupy the same orbital/energy level at the same time.

weather forecasting based on numerical models depends on all of the following except A) energy, B) fluid dynamics C) thermodynam
frez [133]
It would be letter A which is energy. The other three are used in weather forecasting due to the fact that the atmosphere is fluid and weather and climate is caused by uneven heat from the star in our solar system which is the Sun to the Earth in which heat transfer occurs
