Polyphemus is the son of Poseidon, one of the cyclops from Greek mythology written in Odyssey. His name translated from Greek means "abounding in songs and legends". The archetype that represents Polyphemus is Villian. It's described as a savage man-eating giant. He trapped Ulysses and his friends in the cave, and ate them. In doing so, it also shows cunning as an initial hospitality, in order to consent people, and then eating two of them.

Polyphemus is a Villain. Ulysses and his men speak to the great. They are exhausted explorers just searching for a place to rest and expect the neighborliness required by the divine beings. Rather, they are beaten and detained by the lowlife, Polyphemus, who speaks to the fiendishness on the planet. He disregards the laws of the divine beings.

Critical Reading The questions below refer to the selection “The Prologue from The Canterbury Tales.” What can the reader infer
emmainna [20.7K]

The Canterbury tale by Geoffrey Chaucer, what the reader infer about the Friar through the following lines is that he will use people for money. Like the prioress and the monk, Friar too fails to establish any of the expected virtues. He arranged marriages by sounding generous because the young women are his mistresses and moreover pregnant.

Further, he injects money through committing the sin of selling "forgiveness' which is supposed to be freely given. Moreover, he kept no acquaintance with the sick or poor. He was a corrupt person, for the private gains he destroys the base of faith in people which was his duty to serve.
