The fact that their modern-day catholics said that sins were needed to be forgiven through a priest or some form of higharchy in relation to the rest of the people, so basically that Catholics at that time believed that there was not a direct relation from God to mankind. And two, that in order for you sins to be forgiven, you had to pay these more royal people. Both of these went completely against what is in the bible.

I hope you are not talking about Martin Luther King Jr., because I am talking about the Christian Reformation!

What effect did the battle have on the battle of the bulge in europe?
soldier1979 [14.2K]
The Battle of the Bulge weakened the Germans, mostly armored divisions and aircraft, (last high scale offensive on western front). Bad timing on Herr Hitler's part, as reinforcements could not arrive due to snow. And Allied forces wouldn't give up. When asked to surrender, the American general McAuliffe replied, "Us surrender? Aw, nuts!" and wrote to the Germans, "To the German commander: Nuts!" (surprisingly, Germans didn't know what that meant)

levacccp [35]

Answer:

B. They took advantage of the political and economic chaos in the South after the Civil War

Explanation:

The Carpetbaggers were people that were very disliked among the population in the South. The main reason for this was that they were people that used the chaos in the South after the Civil War in their advantage, often damaging the local population. These people were getting themselves in positions from which they can use political and economic chaos, thus getting a lot on the expense of the Southerners who worked hard for it.
