How was the power in congress divided under the articles of confederation?
Veseljchak [2.6K]
The Government was split into three branches of the Judicial branch, the Executive Branch, and the Legislative branch. To simplify, Judicial is the Supreme court who interprets the constitution. Executive is the branch under which the president operates and does and commits to his duties. Legislative is Congress who introduces laws, policies, and legislation then debate its entry. The president can veto congress, congress can impeach and remove the president from office, and supreme court can stop congressional and executive actions in their tracks. Hope this answers your question

What important decisions had to be made concerning the fate of the seceded states and the rights of those freed from slavery?
lina2011 [118]
As the Civil War drew to a close the primary issue on the mind of the North was how to reintegrate the South back into the Union. They settled on the famous 10% plan for this. Regarding the fate of the ex-slaves, the North instituted Reconstruction, which sought to make sure that the freed blacks would be integrated into Society fairly. This largely failed, however.
