The correct answer is (b)The re-introduction of the American chestnut tree, which produces many seeds, and used to live in North Carolina

The  re-introduction of American chestnut tree will help in increasing the carrying capacity of the white tailed deer in Eastern temperate forest ecosystem because deer love chestnut as it is sweet in taste and contains no tannin. Since, chestnut bear every year it is easy for deer to have them as a food. The population of deer will increase and thus the carrying capacity can also be increased by the re- introduction of chestnut trees.
