The disruption of osteons will lead to the formation of the bones which are soft, spongy and brittle. The strength of the bones will be decreased and they will be more prone to breakage. The shapes may also be altered by the aggression of the tumour cells, and this would definitely deviate the bones from their normal functioning.

A bone tumor disrupts the normal structure of osteons, replacing the organized rings with disorganized, irregular masses of bone. It would make the bone spongy and brittle at the same time, decrease their strength and would likely alter their shape depending on the aggressiveness of the tumor.

Further Explanation:

Bone tumor:

A bone tumor is a neoplastic growth of tissue in bone. Abnormal growths found in the bone can be either benign (noncancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Average five-year survival in the United States after being diagnosed with bone and joint cancer is 67%.

Causes tumors on the bone:

The causes of bone tumors aren't known. A few possible causes are genetics, radiation treatment, and injuries to the bones. Osteosarcoma has been linked to radiation treatment (particularly high doses of radiation) and other anticancer drugs, especially in children. However, a direct cause hasn't been identified.

Bone tumors painful:

When a bone tumor grows, it presses on healthy bone tissue and can destroy it, which causes the following symptoms: Pain. The earliest symptoms of bone cancer are pain and swelling where the tumor is located.

A force is applied to a particle along its direction of motion. At what speed is the magnitude of force required to produce a gi
krek1111 [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

The detailed steps are as shown below

  • Recalling from F = ma
  • a = F/m
  • but magnitude of force F = √ [ 1 - v²/c²]

but acceleration twice as great as the force required to produce the same acceleration;

  • 2m = m / √[ 1 - v²/c²]
  • 2 = 1 / √ [ 1 - v²/c²]
  • square both sides ;

4 = 1 / [ 1 - v²/c²]

1/4 = 1 - v²/c²

v²/c² = 3/4

v/c = √ [3/4]

v = 0.87c

but speed of light c = 3 x 10^8m/s

v = speed of the particle =  0.87( 3 x 10^8m/s)

v = 2.61m/s

Which region of the mitochondria has the highest concentration of h+?
storchak [24]
The region of the mitochondria with the highest level of hydrogen ion is the INTERMEMBRANE SPACE.
The mitochondria is made up of many parts, such as the outer membrane, the inner membrane, the intermembrane space, the cristae and the matrix. The high concentration of hydrogen ion in the intermembrane space is used to power ATP synthase.
