<h3>Answer: </h3><h3>Fred has <u>20 students</u> and Lee has <u>22 students</u></h3>

=============================================================

Work Shown:

L = number of students in Lee's class

F = number of students in Fred's class

Lee has 1.1 times as many students compared to Fred

This means we have this equation

L = 1.1F

Whatever the value of F is, we multiply that by 1.1 to get the value of L

The two amounts L and F add to 42 total students

L+F = 42

1.1F + F = 42 .... replace L with 1.1F

2.1F = 42

F = 42/(2.1)

F = 20 .... Fred has 20 students

L = 1.1*F

L = 1.1*20

L = 22 .... Lee has 22 students

------------

Check:

L+F = 22+20 = 42

this confirms the answer

Correct answers will get brainlest!! (sorry if i spelled it wrong)
Liono4ka [1.6K]

Answer:

1. $2.5

2. 2/5lb

Step-by-step explanation:

1. The blank is asking what the cost of one pound of blueberries costs and you know that two pounds costs $5, so half of 5 is 2.5. So the first blank is $2.5.

2. You know that $2.5 will get you one pound, so divide by 5 and now you know that $0.50 will get you 1/5 pound of blueberries. multiply by two and now you know that $1.00 get you 2/5 pound of berries. So the second blank is 2/5 lb.

Solve the equation 5/6×-4=2
lianna [129]
First, you need to add 4 to both sides so you’re left with 5/6x = 6
then, divide 6 by 5/6 to find x
for me personally, it help to write 6 as 6/1
cross multiply so both fractions have the same denominator
6 divided by 5/6 is 36/5 as a mixed number or 7 1/5
