Answer:

flat bone

Explanation:

Bones are very hard whitish organs that unite with others through the joints or joints make up the Skeleton. It is a specialized form of connective tissue whose main feature is the mineralization (calcium) of its bone matrix (collagen and proteoglycan fibers). There are several types of bones, of which flat bones are described below.

Flat bones are thin bones and consist of two parallel blades of compact bone tissue, with a layer of cancellous bone between them. Flat bones provide considerable protection and generate large areas for muscle insertion. These are the bones most likely due to muscle fixation in the legs.

How did totalitarian regimes in the Soviet Union, Italy, Germany, and Japan come to
stira [4]

Explanation:

A totalitarian ruler leads a government that maintains complete control over every

part of public and private life of the citizens in that country. The economic problems

that resulted from World War I and the Depression led people to question

whether democratic government could improve their lives. Totalitarian

governments appeared to provide a sense of security and offered a

strong direction for the future.

Both Communism and Fascism used aspects of totalitarianism

as part of their governments. In general, both used dictators, only

allowed one political party, and denied many individual rights.

Police terror was used for control and to get rid of any opposition.

Controlling media sources (newspapers, television, radio etc.)

with propaganda and limiting what was reported helped influence

what people thought. However, Fascism believed in an extreme form

of nationalism and pride in the country, while Communism focused on

the spread of their beliefs worldwide. Communism did not allow private

property and eliminated social classes. Fascism believed that each class

had a role to play in society and supported private property. During the 1920s

and 1930s, four major totalitarian governments developed – one was Communist,

The Soviet Union under Joseph Stalin

After Vladimir Lenin’s death, Joseph Stalin took power. He wanted to strengthen his power and the Communist state. He used

his secret police to stop any riots and arrest or kill anyone who spoke out against him. In 1933, he began the Great Purge to

eliminate his political rivals in the Communist Party and the government. He knew that in order to

compete with other modern countries, the U.S.S.R. (Soviet Union) needed to fix its economy. He

began a series of Five Year Plans to improve the Soviet Union’s industries. Production of steel,

coal, and oil increased dramatically, but Stalin set impossibly high production rates. Stalin took

control of all privately owned farms and began a program of collectivization. Hundreds of families

worked the collective farms to produce food for the country. Many landowners and peasants

resisted by destroying fields and killing their cattle and sheep. Millions died as a result of famine

from the damages and also attacks by the secret police to stop the rebellions. By the mid-1930s

Stalin changed the Soviet Union into a totalitarian state and made it into an industrial power.

Italy under Benito Mussolini

In the early 1920s, Italy was struggling economically and politically. Benito Mussolini’s Fascist

Party fought with the Communists for political power and won. Mussolini promised to restore the

power and glory of the Roman Empire. One way to do this was to expand Italy’s empire. In 1935, Mussolini invaded Ethiopia in

East Africa. Italy continued to expand by invading Albania in 1939. These invasions elevated Mussolini’s popularity and control.

Japan under Emperor Hirohito and Hideki Tojo

When the Great Depression hit Japan, many Japanese blamed the government for the economic problems. Military leaders

gained public support and won control of the government. Because the military kept Emperor Hirohito as the symbolic leader,

Censorship: Who Should Decide What Young People Read?
Zielflug [23.3K]

Answer:

No one should decide what anyone reads but ourselves. People, now matter how young or old, should be able to make the decision by themselves. If they want to read Manga, Horror books, Romance, Suspense, Mystery, Graphic Novels, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Nonfiction, Narrative, Genre Fiction, Historical Nonfiction/Fiction, Poetry, Thriller, Biography, Memoir, Autobiography, Short Story, Literary Fiction, Science Fantasy, Paranormal Romance, Fairy Tail, Myth, Folktale, History, Adventure Fiction, Textbook, Prose, Fantasy Fiction, Magical Realism, Erotic Literature, Historical Romance, High Fantasy, True Crime, Occult Fiction, what ever they want to read they should be able to access them. Now I'm not saying young children's minds shouldn't be protected. For example, if I were to take your privilege of reading away and say that you are only allowed to read Fantasy books, despite your age, that would not be right and would cause civil disputes in the literary world. We should promote a cause that enables any aged children, especially young minds, to be able to pick from the entire literary universe. We shouldn't force people to integrate into books that we want, instead into books that everyone wants. In conclusion, no one should decide what we read but ourselves.

"Rank the sequence of cross bridge cycling, starting with the myosin-binding sites being exposed and ending with relaxation due
pshichka [43]

Answer:

Explanation:

This is the process of muscle contraction and relaxation in the muscle. The type of muscle involved is the skeleton muscle.

The process is initiated in the Central nervous system. Examples are in contraction of biceps and triceps.

It involves myosin head and actin filament coupled with the release of calcium ion from the sarcoplasm reticulum: this ion activates this process in the muscles. With the exposure of the music binding site on the acting filament, myosin is able to bind to acting filament bringing about this process.

a. ATP attaches to myosin head

b. Myosin head is re-energized

c. Myosin head forms cross bridge with actin

d. Power stroke moves thin filament

e. Cross bridges detach from actin

f. Myosin binding sites covered

g. Calcium ions pumped into the sarcoplasmic reticulum

h. Calcium ion concentration decreases below the threshold for binding to troponin.

Two enzyme-controlled reactions are shown.
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Answer:

D. Enzymes only break down large molecules.

Explanation:

Enzymes are the substances which helps in the broken down of large food molecules into small molecules. It is because our body is not able to absorb large food molecules, these large molecules are broken down into small molecules with the help of enzymes. Carbohydrate is broken down into glucose by amylase and protein is broken down into amino acids by protease.  Enzyme is non-living in nature and used as a  catalyst in order to speed up the chemical reaction.
