Ok so firstly, the waitress earns three dollars every hour, so for every hour she works, she earns three dollars. So if she works three hours, she gets 9 dollars (3*3)
The waitress also earned tips 12+5+7 is 24
So we plus 24 and nine together to 33
Therefore, the waitress earned a total of 33 dollars

The number of calories in a piece of pie is 20 less than three times the number of calories in a scoop of ice cream. The pie and
sergejj [24]

Answer:

130 calories in the ice cream and 500 calories in the pie.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the amount of calories in the scoop of ice cream be x. the amount of calories in the piece of pie be 3x-20. we know that x+3x-20=500.

4x-20=500

If we add twenty to both sides, we end up with:

4x=520

Divide both sides by four, and you get x=130.

there are 130 calories in the scoop of ice cream and 130*4-20=500 calories in the pie.

How many terms are in the arithmetic sequence shown below?
15, 7, -1, -9...,-225
NemiM [27]
We know that

We can write an Arithmetic Sequence as a rule:

an = a1 + d(n−1)

where

a1 = the first term
d =the "common difference" between terms

in this problem
a1=15  a2=7  a3=-1  a4=-9  .....    an=-225
d=a2-a1
d=7-15-----> d=-8

an = a1 + d(n−1)
for
an=-225
d=-8
a1=15
find n
-225=15+(-8)*(n-1)--> (n-1)=[-225-15]/-8----> n-1=30---> n=30+1---> n=31

the answer is
31
