Answer:

C. Hatshepsut became the first female pharaoh to rule Egypt.

Explanation:

Hatshepsut was the first female pharaoh in history, achieving this title after overcoming many obstacles. After the death of his father, Pharaoh Thutmose I, Hatshepsut married his half brother, Thutmose II, at the age of 17. After four years her husband and brother passed away, leaving the son of a concubine as heir to the throne. But as the boy was very young, Hatshepsut took over. She ruled Egypt alone for 22 years, at the time the state was one of the wealthiest. To remain in power he made use of the offspring of Thutmose I, at first he faced no objections, since Thutmose III (son of Thutmose II) was very young and could not reign.

Write two or three sentences explaining the causes of Japanese internment.
astra-53 [7]

Answer:

Japanese internment was a result of the paranoia that arose in America after the attacks on Pearl Harbour.  These sentiments would have been augmented by the racial prejudice that native-born Americans and many other ethnic groups held against Japanese and Asian people.  It was also feared that Japanese-Americans would sabotage the American war-effort and act as spies for the Japanese government.  The outbreak of war with Japan caused these sentiments to boil over and led to the internment of Japanese-Americans.

Hope this helps!
