<em><u>In the years prior to the seven years' war, strategies that Native American tribes pursued in their associations with the European powers are  </u></em>

  i. <em><u>They were establishing an alliance with the European nations.</u></em>

ii. <em><u>They hoarded for the increase in the fur trade.  </u></em>

Further Explanations:

The Seven Years War or the “French and Indian war” boxed in 1756 amid France and colonies of Europe. The conflict involved nations such as Austria, France, Russia, Britain, and Prussia. The war continued for almost seven years affecting numerous citizens. The actual reason for the war was the Austrian Habsburgs attempt of re-annexing provinces of Silesia. The attempt was wrenched by Frederick II of Prussia.

Prior to the war situation was not the same. Indians of upper Ohio Valley were not even aware of the British authority with the natives American tribes like Mingoes were in alliance with Britain. American was continuously emphasizing establishing more and more alliances with the European nations to as to increase its influence in Europe and increase its fur trade.

Prior to the Seven Year's War (French Indian War) the Native American's largest tribe, the Mingoes, were allied with Great Britain. However, many Indians in the Upper Ohio Valley did not acknowledge british authority. Even though many of these Indians were fearful and hold grudges of the French because of previous wars, they believed that an alliance with the french was the lesser of two evils. Consequently, they started to supply French forces with men and intelligence against Great Britain.

What two groups made up the crowd that waited outside the federal arsenal?
valkas [14]

The raid on Harper's Ferry was an intent by John Brown, who was an abolitionist, to initiate a slave revolt in 1859 by taking control on the federal arsenal located in Harper's Ferry, Virginia.

The two groups that were outside the arsenal were:

  1. <em>John Brown's "group of 22"</em>. This group of men was supposed to be supported abolitionists Harriet Tubman and Frederick Douglass. However, none of them showed up in the scene, as Tubman fell ill and Douglass was doubtful of a victory.
  2. <em>A group of US Marines</em> led by Colonel Robert E. Lee.

The attempt was unsuccessful, resulting in the defeat of Brown's group by the US Marines.
