Answer:

  • You’re taught the value of nationalism through your history classes.
  • You’re taught the value of patriotism through the Pledge of Allegiance every day and through reading.
  • You’re taught the value of competition every day through games or dynamics which are often used for different purposes, or through a sport also.
  • You’re taught the value of individualism through a teacher who promotes independent thinking, self-control and thought. I have to say that not every school or every teacher at school does this.

Explanation:

Let’s define briefly the meaning of each one of these concepts:

  • Nationalism is the support of your nation’s interests and the identification with it. Learning from your history classes and feeling interested about it is a way of fostering your nationalism and patriotism as well at school.
  • Patriotism helps to unify a group of people for the best interest of a country. The more you read, the more you know.
  • Competition is the condition of competing. You’re taught at school to learn to win and lose as well, through a sport competition.
  • Individualism is the least common value taught at schools, however, I admire those teachers who allow you to develop your independent thinking and self-control, they do it through different approaches, subjects and topics.
