What occurs during cell differentiation?
Archy [21]

Answer: Zygote cells turn into adult STEM cells divide and create differentiated daughter cells.

Explanation: All DNA is in all cells, but different cells are specialized to preform different functions. They still contain all of the DNA, but they only use a small portion of the DNA. This occurs during a process called Gene Expression. Gene expression is the specific combination of genes that are turned on or off (expressed or repressed), and this is what dictates how a cell functions

svlad2 [7]
Insulin and glucagon are the hormones that cause blood glucose (blood sugar) preserved in a narrow range. The pancreas serves as the central part of this process. Secreted by the pancreas are both insulin and glucagon. Determined by the production of insulin and glucagon, people can find out whether someone may have diabetes, hypoglycemia, low blood pressure, etc. Insulin or glucose can be prescribed to victims of those listed issues, it is mostly used to balance out the level of glucagon and insulin to try to stop the problem.

Which of the following is a reason why sticky end producing restriction enzymes are preferred compared to blunt end ones?
anyanavicka [17]

Answer:

D) Because sticky ends can be temporarily held together by hydrogen bonding between the two strands.

Explanation:

Restriction enzymes cut the DNA at specific restriction sites and by the mechanism of action they can form two types of ends:

 • sticky ends-single-stranded overhangs are formed
 • blunt ends-without overhangs.

The main advantage of sticky ends (their overhangs) is that they can complementary bind to another overhand formed by the same restriction enzyme. So, for example in cloning, if the DNA of interest and plasmid vector are cut with the same restriction enzyme, that forms sticky ends, fragment of DNA will fit into a bacterial plasmid in one direction.

On the other hand, blunt ends can be inserted into vector in both directions: head-to-tail or tail-to-head.
