Answer:

The correct answer would be ATP (adnosine triphosphate)

Cellular respiration and fermentation are the processes used by the different cells or organisms with a common goal of producing energy in the form of ATP.

The main difference between the two processes is the presence or absence of oxygen.

Fermentation takes place in absence or lack of oxygen. It results in the formation of alcohol or lactic acid with a net gain of 2 molecules of ATP.

In contrast, in presence of oxygen, glucose is completely oxidized to produce water, carbon dioxide and large amount of ATP (often 36 to 38).

What is the composition of the asthenosphere?
BartSMP [9]

The asthenosphere lies 80-200km below the surface under the lithosphere. Convection also occurs in the asthenosphere. The asthenosphere is mostly made of up rock material (magnesium and iron silicates). The asthenosphere makes up 6% of the mantle and lets the lithosphere move.

Students are studying the rate of yeast fermentation under different conditions. Glucose is a monosaccharide. Sucrose is a
Akimi4 [234]

Answer:

The correct option is B. Fermentation would occur at a similar rate to that of glucose.

Explanation:

Fermentation can be described as a process in which alcohol is released by using sugars. In fruit juices, fructose is present mainly to get the sweetness. It is used as a substitute for glucose because fructose is more sweeter than glucose. Both fructose and glucose are monosaccharides with the formula C6H12O6. The only difference is in the arrangement of molecules in the atoms of these compounds. Hence, the rate of fermentation would be same for these two sugars.

Explanation:

Calcium . Helps build strong bones and teeth.

Fat. Creates energy, helps the brain develop, keeps skin and hair healthy, and protects against infections.

Folate. Helps cells divide.

Iron. Builds blood cells, and helps the brain develop. Breast-fed babies should receive iron supplements.

Protein and carbohydrates. They provide energy and fuel growth.

Zinc. Helps the cells grow and repair themselves

Your baby also needs vitamins such as:

Vitamin A. Keeps skin, hair, vision, and the immune system healthy.

Vitamin B1 (thiamine). Helps the body turn food into energy.

Vitamin B2 (riboflavin). Helps the body turn food into energy, and protects cells from damage.

Vitamin B3 (niacin). Helps the body turn food into energy and use fats and protein.

Vitamin B6. Keeps the brain and immune system healthy.

Vitamin B12. Keeps nerve and blood cells healthy, and makes DNA -- the genetic material in every cell.

Vitamin C. Protects against infections, builds bones and muscles, and helps wounds heal.

Vitamin D. Helps the body absorb calcium from food, and keeps bones and teeth healthy. Breast-fed babies may need a D supplement.

Vitamin E. Protects cells from damage, and strengthens the immune system.

Vitamin K. Helps the blood to clot.
