What is the best way for u to describe run-on sentences
Triss [41]

Answer:

When two sentences are squished together

Explanation:

Typically, finding a run on sentence can be easy. "I like to write papers I could write all day everyday" do u see how it's dragged out? Adding stuff that doesn't seem necessary or just overall could be rewritten as a new sentence.

Find a quote that is significant to you in some way. Copy/paste it below and explain why you chose this quote, what you think it
antiseptic1488 [7]

A quote that is significant to me is "When you learn to accept rather than wait, you will have fewer disappointments." from Robert Fisher's "The knight in rusty armor". I chose this quote because it has a very simple structure but it deals with very complicated themes that people suffer during his lifetime. Most of the time people deals with difficult situations, if we learn to accept our situations and deal with them properly, we would live better.

Name five examples of images or diction that evoke the American Dream in the first three paragraphs of
levacccp [35]

Answer:

The five images or diction that evokes American Dream in the first three paragraphs are:

 1. America was a land of living hope
 2. woven of dreams,
 3. aflame with longing and desire.
 4. the Promised Land
 5. wings for my stifled spirit

Explanation:

'America and I' is an essay written by Anzia Yezierska narrating her story when she first came to the land of America. She narrates that like other million immigrants, she also landed into the land of America with hopes, desires, and dreams.

The images or dictions that evokes American Dream in the first three paragraphs of the essay are:

 1. America was a land of living hope.
 2. woven of dreams.
 3. aflame with longing and desire.
 4. the Promised Land.
 5. wings for my stifled spirit.

In these diction, the author paints a image of American Dream first, by stating that America was a land of living hope, this dictates the American Dream, with which millions of immigrants landed on American land. She describes America as a land woven of dreams, again depicting the picture of American Dream. The author, then goes on to allude the American Land with that of the Promised Land, which means that America looked more like a Promised Land to those immigrants and to the author as well, who came from Russia and it looked like 'wings to her stifled spirit' in America. Meaning to have more freedom than her homeland.

Hamlet act I scene III. "Hamlet.. but tell
Gnom [1K]

In Act I, Scene IV of "Hamlet", by William Shakespeare, the phrases that provide clues that sepulchre means "grave" are option 1. canoniz'd bones and 2. hearsed in death. Hamlet is with Horatio and Marcellus waiting for the ghost of his father to appear. When it does Hamlet addresses him with these words meaning that his bones were buried in sacred soil.
