The internment of Japanese Americans in the United States during World War II was the forced relocation and incarceration in concentration camps in the western interior of the country of about 120,000 people of Japanese ancestry, most of whom lived on the Pacific Coast.

The Hindu Kush (Pashto: هندوکش /kʊʃ, kuːʃ/) is an 800-kilometre-long (500 mi) mountain range in Central and South Asia to the west of the Himalayas that stretches from central Afghanistan into far northern Pakistan and far southern Tajikistan.
As far as I know I'm pretty sure they weren't free due to the laws around the time period
