If we want a complex fraction, we can take a simple fraction and multiply it by some other fraction. in out case, these can be obtained if we mupltiply 1/4 by some other fraction for example:

1/2:
\frac{ \frac{1}{2} }{ \frac{4}{2} }

 Or we could expess one of the numbers as a fraction:
\frac{1}{ \frac{4}{1} }

\frac{ \frac{1}{1} }{4 }

Simplify. 4−16÷4+42 −16 13 15 16
Dimas [21]

Answer:

[See Below]

Step-by-step explanation:

✦ First split the equation in little pieces and solve them:

  ✧ 4 - 16 = -12

  ✧ 4 + 4² = 20 (4² = 16)

✦ Now divide them:

  ✧ -12 ÷ 20 = -0.6

So I'm guessing you're trying to simplify 4²... so it'd be 16 because none of the choices are the simplified version of the problem.

Triangle ABC, with vertices A(5,2), B(7,6), and C(2,5), is drawn inside a rectangle, as shown below.
natka813 [3]

Answer:

9 units²

Step-by-step explanation:

calculate the area of Δ ABC as

area of rectangle - area of 3 outer right triangles

area of rectangle = 5 × 4 = 20 units²

area of left Δ = \frac{1}{2} × 3 × 3 = 4 \frac{1}{2} units²

area of Δ on right = \frac{1}{2} × 2 × 4 = 4 units²

area of top Δ = \frac{1}{2} × 5 × 1 = 2\frac{1}{2} units²

Then

area of Δ ABC = 20 - 4 \frac{1}{2} - 4 - 2 \frac{1}{2} = 20 - 11 = 9 units²

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

plot five points of f(x)=(1/2)^x

f(0)=(1/2)^0=1

f(1)=(1/2)^1=1/2... through five gives you

y=1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16 for points

A pineapple is 7 times as heavy as an orange. The pineapple also weighs 870 grams more than the orange.
Kazeer [188]
Let's say that the weight of the orange is x and the weight of the pineapple is y.
The weight of the pineapple is 7 times that of the orange, so
y = 7x.
Also, y = x + 870.
Therefore, 7x = x + 870.
If we take away x from both sides, we get 6x = 870
If we divide both sides by 6, we get x = 145.
Therefore, the weight of the orange is 145 g.
Also, 145 + 870 = 1015.
So the weight of the pineapple is 1015 g.

To convert grams into kilograms, they must be divided by 1000.
Therefore, the weight of the orange in kilograms is 145/1000 = 0.145 kg
And the weight of the pineapple is 1015/1000 = 1.015 kg.

Answers:
a. 145g for the orange and 1015g for the pineapple.
b. 0.145kg for the orange and 1.015kg for the pineapple.
