Daisy is a little upset at the dinner scene but knows she can't do nothing really about it, that's how the time was back than. She knows she can't leave Tom for the fact that he also comes from what the East side says is old money. She is kind of tense when talking to Tom after myrtle kept calling. She later after dinner is sad and you can tell by what she tells Nick when she found out her child was a girl. "The best thing for a girl to be in this world is a fool, a beautiful little fool"

WOW! I love the Great Gatsby. Daisy seemed a bit oblivious during the dinner scene, maybe because she refuses to see her husband's faults. She won't stop talking, which is a sign that she's nervous and trying to stop thinking about who her husband might have been talking to.

The green light symbolizes hope, and the American dream, which is why Gatsby can't stop contemplating it.

Read the two excerpts from act 3, scene 2, of Julius Caesar. [BRUTUS.] If then that friend demand why Brutus rose against Caesar
Talja [164]

Answer:

The speaker uses repetition and parallelism.

The speaker uses imagery.

The speaker appeals to emotions.

Explanation:

William Shakespeare's play "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar" revolves around the assassination of Julius Caesar before he was made ruler of Rome. And the doers of the act were his close friends Brutus and Cassius, who revealed they had done it to prevent Rome from being ruled by an emperor, and also to make it more of a free nation rather than be ruled by a single man.

The two given monologues are from Act III scene ii of the play after the death of Caesar. Brutus's monologue reveals his intention behind his own betrayal to get Caesar killed while Antony's monologue also follows the same reason as Brutus. Both monologues show the speakers using imagery and appealing to the emotions of the people. Moreover, both speeches also have repetition and are parallel with each other.

In the west, the dramatic tradition began with the ancient?
lianna [129]

Answer:

Beowulf

Explanation:

The dramatic tradition of English literature saw its beginnings with Anglo-Saxon settlers and their Germanic tradition. Beowulf, an epic poem of the 8th Century, is the most important writing of the time and its language is Anglo-Saxon, commonly known nowadays as Old English. This what makes it very hard to understand for modern English speakers.
