You can see positive or negative trends. This will show you the corrections of certain things, such as fuel price and time, yearly earnings and education level, etc. Since this data can be sporadic, you can't necessarily draw a line from one point to the next guy you can identify trends and correlations.

GaryK [48]
The unit of ratio is expressed as none. Ratio comprises of similar type of quantities so the units cancel out each other and thus there is no unit for a ratio. There is no unit for ratio. The numbers in the ratio will be of same unit - the unit can be meter or gram or litre or any such unit.

What is the slope of the line that passes through the points (-4, -9) and (5, 3)
egoroff_w [7]

Answer:

4/3

Step-by-step explanation:

Moving from (-4, -9) to (5, 3), x (the 'run') increases by 9 from -4 to 5, and y (the 'rise') increases by 12 from -9 to +3.  Thus, the slope of the line connecting the two points is

m = rise / run = 12/9 = 4/3

It may help to think of the change in x (9) as the horizontal leg of a right triangle and the change in y (12) as the vertical leg.  Then

m = (vertical leg length) / (horizontal leg length) = 12/9 = 4/3

In a 30°- 60° - 90° right triangle, the shorter leg has a length of 4.
Studentka2010 [4]
In a 30°-60°-90° triangle, the ratio of the legs is \sqrt{3}:1

So if the shorter leg is 4, then the longer leg is 4\sqrt{3}
