In 1962, Walmart opened its first store in Rogers, Arkansas and its headquarters is located in neighboring Bentonville, Arkansas. However, this is not its highest area of concentration or its highest cluster. The highest cluster is found in the Midwest, South and Northeast, where there are about 230 Walmart locations in less that 7-mile radius.
Rogers is therefore its hearth as it is Walmart's origin.
