B = (1/6).π.x².s

1st Multiply both sides with 6 → 6B = (6).(1/6).π.x².s. Simplify by 6
6B = π.x².s. Now divide both sides by .π.x².
6B/(.π.x²)  =  .(π.x².s)/(.π.x²) After simplification you get:

6B/(.π.x²) = s →  s = 6B/(.π.x²)

Jonathan abd his two friends want to share 2 1/2 pounds of gum balls. If they share the gum balls evenly, how manypounds of gum
Trava [24]

Answer:

Jonathan and each of his two friends would get \frac{5}{6}\ pounds of gum balls.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Total Amount of gum balls = 2\frac{1}{2}\ pounds

2\frac{1}{2}\ pounds can be Rewritten as \frac{5}{2}\ pounds

Amount of gum balls = \frac{5}{2}\ pounds

Number of people gumballs has to be divided = 3

We need to find how many pounds of gum balls will they each of them get.

Solution:

Now we can say that;

Amount of gum balls each would get is equal to Total Amount of gum balls divided by Number of people.

framing in equation form we get;

Amount of gum balls each would get= \frac{\frac{5}{2}}{3}=\frac{5}{2}\times\frac{1}{3}= \frac{5}{6}\ pounds

Hence Jonathan and each of his two friends would get \frac{5}{6}\ pounds of gum balls.
